Optional analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics.
What optional analytics measures
If activated and you choose Allow, Google Analytics 4 receives page visits and limited actions: reading a guide, downloading a drawing, using the drawer planner and following a named product link. This helps us improve useful guides and understand which parts interest readers. A product click is not a purchase or earned commission.
Google receives technical request information, including your IP address and browser/device information, when the tag loads or sends a measurement. Google describes different IP handling by region: EU, Swiss and UK addresses are discarded before logging; elsewhere it uses addresses for basic functions such as spam detection and coarse location, then discards raw addresses. See Google’s regional privacy explanation and its explanation for other regions. This does not make analytics anonymous. Processing can involve Google infrastructure outside your country. See how Google uses information from partner sites.
Data we leave out
Our measured page addresses omit query strings and fragments. Referring addresses are reduced to their domain. Search text, drawer dimensions, names, email addresses and receipt information are not included in our custom events. We do not set a signed-in user ID, enable Google Signals, personalize advertising or run advertising pixels. Product events use short catalog identifiers rather than full shopping addresses.
Cookies and remembering your choice
We remember Allow or Decline in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days. If analytics is approved and allowed, Google uses first-party cookies beginning _ga to distinguish browsers and sessions. The cookie lifetime is 90 days without automatic renewal. GA4 event/user-level retention is two months; aggregate reports may last longer.
You can change your choice below at any time. Declining stops future measurements and clears this site’s accessible analytics cookies; an already-loaded tag is unloaded by refreshing the page. Withdrawal does not erase information already received by Google. Clearing browser storage, using another device or private browsing can make the site ask again. If storage is blocked, a choice may only last for the current page.
Hosting and outside links
Cloudflare delivers this site and may process technical requests for delivery and security, independently of the optional analytics choice. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Following an outside link takes you to that website and its own privacy choices. Declining this site’s analytics does not control another website.
Commercial links
No affiliate links are active in this version. If referral links are introduced, a clear disclosure will appear beside them and explain that qualifying purchases may earn a commission. Your price and any claim about a product must be described accurately. No checkout, advertising network or paid traffic campaign is active here.
The photographs and planner
Published photographs are selected, privacy-reviewed web copies with location metadata removed. Private originals, receipts and account records are not public downloads. The drawer planner performs its calculations in your browser; its measurement event records only that a valid calculation occurred.
